Mosaic Knitting

Mosaic Knitting

Mosaic knitting adds beautiful details to any piece. It’s a great introduction to colorwork for beginners who aren’t quite ready to take on stranded knitting. I knitted these swatches for one of my classes.

The patterns are from Mosaic Knitting book by Barbara G. Walker

  • Thank you!
No it’s easier then fair isle. With fair isle you take both yarn with you and create floats of both colors, with mosaic you take one yarn at the time, slipping all the wrong colored stitches (creating float) and thus you go over each row twice, creating floats of both colors
